The Brews dream of Charity Trophy glory were blown away by Bromley Green after a comprehensive 5-0 drubbing. It was the fourth time the teams had met this season and on the three previous occasions, they had all been close encounters in which the Brews had reason to feel a little unlucky to lose. However, in this game it was a totally different story. Despite fielding a below strength side due to suspensions, injuries etc, the Green were just far too good on the day and the Reserve players brought in did themselves proud putting in terrific performances. The Brews did strike the woodwork on three occasions, twice when the score was 1-0, had one of these efforts gone in, then who knows, but it was simply not to be and goals from Aaron Neal, Ryan Fitzgerald (2), Glen Mackett and John Douglas saw the Green ease into the Final where they will face either Kennington or Essembee.
